OPENING night for the Three Women No Frontiers exhibition at Noosa Regional Gallery on 18 March 2011 from 6 to 8pm will serve a dual-purpose.

Not only will it officially launch the fascinating exhibition from Christine Maudy and her two daughters, it will also celebrate 10 years of artistic excellence from this international visual artist, since her first solo at the Noosa Regional Gallery in 2001.

Focussing on the concept of frontiers through life and artistic expression, Three Women NoFrontiers will present three perceptions of a shared world and frontiers.

Community Policy and Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said the exciting exhibition is the first time Christine has collaborated with her two daughters.

“The exhibition will look at how the careers of three women have been influenced by their joint experiences, their travels, and their individual world views,” she said.

“Through painting, photography, song, music and moving image the exhibition will reveal how one woman became two and then three in the artistic world and praises the life affirming experience of multi-cultural exposure.” MORE…
